Our Story

Hi fellow book lovers, I’m Glaiza – the bookworm behind My Reading Bubble (MRB).

I write from my humble abode in western Sydney during the day or late in the evenings – just never before the sun rises as I’m far from a morning person. My three beautiful children are my biggest inspiration and turns out they are my biggest fans, too!

Back to how MRB came to be …

Once upon a time, I had this hopeful idea to share my books and love of reading with the world. With a little push and encouragement, that hopeful idea has sprung to a reality.

Established in 2024, My Reading Bubble is more than an online bookstore. Just like a literal bubble, our reading space is delicate and a peaceful retreat from the outside world. It’s where we can be ourselves and enjoy our reading uninterrupted. The word ‘bubble’ also has a playful, joyful connotation. It reflects the light-hearted and positive vibe that books bring into our lives.

MRB is the heart of my growing collection of published books – for both children and young adults.

Founded to promote meaningful literature, I believe every child deserves access to books that entertain, educate, and inspire. My collection of works is centered around family, feelings, self-reflection and much more. Readers can explore new worlds, learn valuable lessons, and develop a lifelong love of reading.

In addition to my published works, you’ll find a corner dedicated to pre-loved must-reads. These books have been cherished and are ready to be passed on to their new homes – surely in the hands of a bookworm who will love its pages just as much. There is always room to share pre-owned books so they end up in loving homes rather than being forgotten in landfill.

Thank you for visiting my page – I can’t wait to hear all about your next read.

Always turning pages,

Glaiza

Giving Back To The Local Community

At MRB, we try our best to give back to the local community as much as possible.

One way of doing this is offering free author visits to local schools and daycare centres where children can experience a book reading by an author in their area. This brings a sense of connection to the community and encourages a love of reading for our youngest members.

We also donate to The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF). Our donation helps to provide books, books in First Languages, and learning resources to children and families living in over 400 remote communities across Australia.

And lastly, when we stumble across a street library, you’ll find us leaving a copy of our books for the locals to enjoy.
